La Femme du Fromage

Hi, I'm Tonda...aka La Femme Du Fromage! I’m a wine and cheese enthusiast at heart; my passion for food goes beyond the kitchen, to the celebration of life that occurs around the dinner table. 

This love transpired into La Femme Du Fromage, my cheese shop located at East End Market in Audubon Park, Orlando, Florida. East End Market brings front-and-center the importance of a local food culture focusing on community, commerce, and education. It’s a very unique place, together all of the vendors convey a vibrant spirit apparent to each guest as they walk through the door. 

A self-taught chef, I was the Culinary Founder/Owner of Tonda’s Kitchen Inc., a catering company which featured Contemporary American cuisine with Italian influence. Geared toward small-plate tapas, Tonda’s Kitchen specialized in preserving the simplicity and intimacy that comes from hosting a classic wine & cheese event. Tonda's Kitchen was always proud to be a “green” alternative to catering, and together with La Femme Du Fromage, we honor the same commitment to using local and organic products when possible, while promoting sustainability by incorporating other homemade accompaniments from our local friends in the area.

It doesn’t stop there, I love educating clients on all things wine and cheese. In fact, I’ve been featured at Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival with Food Network Star, Emily Ellyn as well as Maitre Fromger Max McCalman, and then finally on my very own stage. I’ve conducted seminars for organizations like the National Society of Wine Educators, Chateau Ste. Michelle wine estates, and countless local classes including the Orange County Library, Quantum Leap Winery and Orlando Brewing Company. I now travel the country hosting seminars and getting people excited about the wonderful world of wine and cheese.

I was delighted to be featured on The Cooking Channel's show, Emeril's Florida, hosted by the notorious Chef Emeril Lagasse. I was also mentioned on Robert Earl's show too, but locally, you can see me hosting weekend guest segments on Orlando’s own WOFL Fox 35.
